Widefield M51a and M51b

This widefield view of M51a and M51b was taken with an SWED80 + 0.7 Field flatener using a stock D7200 at ISO 1600. You need to zoom in to see some of the fine details captured within the galaxies. I used to 50 sec subs  20Lx15Dx10B. Processed with PI and a little PS.

A very nice M51.  You've got some lovely details in there and lots of faint background galaxies.  I really like it.

There's a slight green cast that you should be able to get rid of quite easily with SNCR tool in PI.

The SW ED80 is my favourite scope at the moment. I need to get my C11 EDGE HD + 0.7 FR out on the mount soon to try at f/9. Tempted to try on this target first and then move on to M101?
