12v jump start battery pack

Is it safe to use the above to power my little travel go to scope?

Yes.. I do, and never had any issues.... only lasts about 5 hours though... my one is a 900A jump starter.

I use a 12ah power bank jump starter from roypow. Along with a 12v cigarette lighter plug. I run 5 lots of dew protection and a cooling fan via a hitech astro 4 port controller and it lasts me a good few hours. Don' know how long it would run a mount for though.

I use a Maplin jump starter on my Goto system, I don't use it for very many hours - maybe 3 tops, but it works well - mine is a 600Amp one.  There is no reason I can see not to try one, for longer term use many people recommend so called 'leisure' batteries because apparently they deliver power a little differently.

When I built my battery box I was told that leisure batteries are better as they deliver a more constant voltage during discharge and can go below 50% without being damaged. Jump starters and the like are designed for shorter periods of high output. That being said they are cheaper so can be replaced more often anyway
