Thanks guys! I wanted to try something different with my scope and I'm happy with the result. I may still tweak the colour balance later though.

Here's another (shorter) animation from the 25th (20:00 - 23:30). It shows the crater Hainzel. I cropped the edges this time to reduce the uneven frame overlays.

They are fascinating and really demonstrate the cragginess of the crater rims.

A very worthwhile project, well-executed.

I reckon that Plato at sunrise/set would make an interesting target for one of these animations.

I was just thinking of Plato! Its smooth floor and relatively low walls would make the rim shadows fast moving and very dramatic. I've seen images of its shadows and they are amazing. I need to get a terminator simulating program like @johnfosteruk used!
