The moon. In the sky!

Just popped outside for a moment. The moon is looking rather bright and beautiful tonight.

Yep, I was walking to the pub tonight for a meeting ( ) and the moon was doing its splendid stuff tonight. Helluva lot of hype I hear today at work on the radio, maybe too much?

Yes it is looking good. It does get extra bright when at full moon, more than you would expect just from the amount of surface area that is lit up. With the light bouncing straight back to us at full moon there's no shadows taking out any of the reflections like there are when the light is bouncing towards us from wider angles.

I happened to catch a view of it this morning in the north-west just before it dipped behind my neighbour's roof top, a lovely sight against a clear blue sky.

Yes yesterday morning I saw the moon disappearing and no I was not going to the pub--Oh wait there is no pub around here!
