Weak and brief Aurora tonight

Recommended Posts

Very low down to the horizon here - having a 2000ft hill in the way and trees doesn't help - nor does the cloud wafting about but Aurora none the less !! Canon EOS 70D - Samyang 14mm f2.8 all 25 seconds at f4 ISO 1600 You can tell when our next door neighbour turned the outside light off !!

Well done all!

I've heard that on a good show Aurora can be seen from Exmoor - bit of a hike so i just nipped up the top of the Quantocks to black hill (358m) to see what I could see.

Generally the sky here is pretty good but looking North you get the fleshpots of Barry Island, plus Cardiff and Newport, and Weson Supermare to the East.

So - here's the pic, not sure theres much there other than streetlights though! Some faint banding maybe? Screen artifact probably.
