Jupiter tonight 1500/5000 stacked in Registax - awful seeing but I haven't been out for ages so it's great to get out.

Well, It's big, belty, and colourful Sam, at least you got an Image.

You will get a better opportunity hopefully.

I've had results like that in the past, usually due to pushing the optics too far for the seeing. I must say, that is a big image. Was it barlowed?

Certainly was! 2 X 2 Barlows stacked. The seeing was so rubbish I shouldn't have even used a telescope . But I wanted to make the most of it and haven't done any planetary imaging for a while. In fact, it's quite amazing how much I forgot (though some would say that's not amazing but quite normal ).

Well done Sam,i gotta wait a while before i can see Jupiter from my garden unless i knock the house down,get a great view then.
