from the day I got mine ive allways put the cap on the scope inbetween shots when doing something else, I have a firsthand insight on what the sun can do, it do age kit , and the body given the chance. charl. ps I think a ir/uv cut filter do protect the quark a good bit.

Guys,

I haven't seen any correlation between "sun exposure" and time of failure....

The only factor I can be sure of is that moisture ingress speeds up failure.

Mine hasn't been outside for 5 months, lol
