More data from Deep Sky West.  M92 - the other 'great' globular cluster in Hercules.  This is LRGB data through the Takahashi FSQ106/QSI 683 and Astrodon filters.

  • Lum: 19 x 600s; 29 x 60s
  • Red: 12 x 600s; 30 x 60s
  • Green: 11 x 600s; 30 x 60s
  • Blue: 12 x 600s; 47 x 60s

For a total of just over 11 hours.

Great globular, and quite a few nice, little fuzzies as well. Love it.

The increased saturation makes the globular cluster look better, but it also enhanced the red halos around some stars in the lower right.

Thanks Wim.  You are right - some of those stars did get a bit fierce.  This should be better:

This is a nice one at the eyepiece. (Remember those??) It's good to see it given a bit of net time as an image as well.

Olly

As requested, M92 through the eyepiece:

(If it works, let me know ... I certainly can't afford one!!)
