Moon with 10" Orion Optics and Ha filter

Hi,

My first moon post...I am mainly a DS guy.

This imaged formed first light for my new 10" f4 1/10th wave reflector. We used an Ha filter to reduce flux and improve seeing. Not as good as some of the ones taken by others, but it seemed quite sharp to me. Taken with an SXV H9

Very nice image Paul. Proclus (bright crater at edge of Pakus Somni - by Mare Crisium) showing up well, as do the rays emanating from it.

I always like to see a good image of our nearest companion.

Yep!. I like that Image. It covers a wide expanse of the lunar surface, and it looks good all over it.
