PixInsight processing software

Does anyone use PixInsight processing software or might know where I can find a review of it?

Just wondered what it was like in comparison to using MaxIm DL and Photoshop, which I use currently.

there appears to be some videos here and some tutorials for the LE version here, couldn't find much more on google, I hope that helps.

I have just started looking at it to compare its gradient removal to my current favourite plug-in GradientXTerminator for PS. Some of the examples on the pixinsight website look very impressive .

I've used it to apply false flats to remove or reduce vignetting (there's an example on the website somewhere). Seems quite good at that (not that I'm that fussy about my images - they're nowhere near others on here to start with). I'm happy that it makes them look better!

I use LE to remove background sky glow and noise (or used to when I had a DSI)

Very powerful app..

I use it - it can handle 16bit images as well - very useful for stretching the detail out if you don't have Photoshop (Gimp only does 8bit).

I use Pixinsight and very powerful and I can not live without it

Try the demo ( 30 day) and have a go

There are some things that it can do you will not find anywhere else

I use the free LE version of it, mainly for its powerful background extraction tool. I will probably buy the full package when I can afford to. It's an extremely powerful package but complicated so it's one where you will need to read the manual and tutorials.
