My pleasure Martyn! We've had an eclipse party here: Mum, Dad, Richard, Jean, next door neighbour,Mike, me... We got to see lots of the eclipse (although we did have to run to the scope each time the cloud cleared :D ). We then watched the webcast while eating bacon and sausage butties. But the highlight was Jean's special eclipse shortbread - round with a chocolate eclipse Yum!

Its been great fun! :D

Seems we were lucky here in SW Scotland.

After a wet night and morning the clouds started clearing by 9.00am, not much time to set up the telescopes. But it stayed mostly clear blue with just the odd small cloud going by. First contact was 09h24m50s had good views until 10.50am when it completely clouded over. We had 30% covered at maximum.

Rather pleased overall as we held an "open house" at the Centre for anyone to drop in an view the event - had 16 people turn up.

Then watched the broadcast from China on the Net - very short totality, nice corona though.
