quick morning orion

Recommended Posts

didn't have much time this morning so the first image is a stacked image consisting of 40x8s exposures at ISO 1600 with 20 Darks at 55mm's. The second image is a quick 25 second exposure at 18mm's. Both are horribly processed in Photoshop. Camera was a Nikon D3300 with 18-55mm lens. Thanks for looking and feedback is always welcome :)

Nice work! The nebulous regions really jump out :icon_biggrin: Is that a meteor streak in the second photo? An Orionid, perhaps?

I think just a satellite though I did see some meteors last night while out with the scope

I do like wide field.

Focus is much better on the second image.

You could try adding flats might help with the slight vignetting.

I would have done but was very rushed for time, only just managed to fit in darks.
