Swadlincote 2-3rd September 2016. Vixen 102.

It looked very hazy out there, until after midnight when it suddenly cleared with a bit of sparkle. I spent some time on the Herschel 400 open clusters, getting ;

Aquila , NGC 6755 and NGC 6756 .
Vulpecula, NGC 6802, NGC 6823 and NGC 6830.
Cygnus, NGC 6834, NGC 6885 with NGC 6822 , NGC 6940.
Handy when the NGCs offer is by RA.
Had a look at the stunning " Pazimino's Cluster" in Camelopardalis , find this at 3h16.1m. +60 07".
NGC 1023 in Perseus was a bright streak in the 102.
Then a lovely view of ι Trianguli at x125 , a very clear and lovely 3.9" separation.Plenty colour there , almost " Topaz yellow and green". Definately a showpiece.

Behind Triangulum, down to Cetus and over to Aquarius under Pegasus is the faint Pisces. Two fish with their tails entwined ending in the circlet, seven stars of Pisces. Very faint, hard to pick up M74 here, but some lovely double stars.
There are just so many here, I picked out the very best,
Σ3009, delicate at x150
35 Piscium at x40.
38 Piscium, shows grapefruit orange at x40.
51 Piscium again at x40.
55 Piscium, full of orange colour.
65 Piscium, just lovely twins.
A wide Psi Piscium ( try saying that when you get stopped by the police !) an optical double at x40.
77 Piscium, showcase widefield view.
A very delicate ΟΣ26, the companion +10.5.
ζ (Zeta) Piscium, lovely wide view.
Σ155 giving near twins at x40.
Most of these were new to me , a lovely session, full of colour.
Just have to lop some branches to see more of Pisces,
Clear skies,
Nick.
