I got an attack of the "i'm to soft to go out in the cold tonight", so I thought I would practice processing instead. I pulled out some old frames and re-processed them for a bit of fun.

Ron, yes it did mate. But I thought it looks better with the foreground darkened and the levels softened on the background. I think it has a more natural feel, although not quite as dramatic.

My coldest night in the Obs is minus 7C.

How cold is a cold night where you are Dave?

Yeah, -4.5 is cold Baz, I can't argue with that.

It does surprise me though, as over in the Perth area of WA, where my daughter lives, they never see a frost. +3C is about the coldest it gets there.

I guess with you being a bit further south, its a different climate.

My cousin who lives in Melbourne, tells me that they can get all four seasons in one day. :shock:

The coldest I've experienced it over here in the east of the UK is -17C, that was in 1986 which was a particularly cold winter, but that's certainly not the 'norm'.

This past couple of years, we've had particularly warm winters here, global warming I guess :? . Don't think we saw colder than -6 here last winter, and it was very 'short lived'.

It was a very wet winter, and my location, East Anglia, is the driest part of the UK .

Sounds to me like you need a 'warm room' attached th the obsy Baz.
