mdstuart
I need a clear sky on Thursday in Madeira. A nice gentleman from the astronomy society here is going to let me use his 8 inch Dob to finally see M83. So excited. Mark

Roy Challen
I need a clear sky - any day will do - in order to see a star - any star will do! Seriously though, I hope you have the clearest of skies, Mark.

Davesellars
Ah yes.... M83. That was quite possibly the most difficult of the Messiers to see from here. Fortunately I had a night of excellent transparency but even then this was only an really an averted vision object at such low altitude.. fortunately it has a reasonably bright core! Good luck with getting a clear night to bag it!
