Stub Mandrel
A second tracking mount so that while I'm imaging I can do something other than squint through a cheesy pair of binos or waste my dark adapted vision on this website...
Aaron F Johnson
I don't image but use a second manual scope alongside the tracking goto, I utilize the second scope for other objects while tracking certain target dso's with the first. This allows me to cover more sky and more objects per good seeing opportunity and also keeps me moving. I think your in need indeed...

A tripod, a Giro and 6" Newt would be a good way to keep yourself occupied at relatively low cost
Lorne
Must tracking be necessary? To pass the time a manual Dob mounted scope will keep you occupied.
Stub Mandrel
I have an EQ2-ish grafted on to an EQ3 tripod , which will be find for the 75mm Bresser I use for whitelight solar or the cheap 3" Newt. That will show me a lot more than bins. I suppose I don't need tracking really.
LukeSkywatcher
The OP is very negative. Lots of simple observing solutions to be had while the main rig is imaging.
