This is the first image I have taken through the new newt.

The collimation is OK ish - having a few issues with that since removing everything.

The focus seems OK.

This is a one second image, 300D 100% but cropped.

Any idea what is causing it?

I've got a spare part for the focuser on order, so the 300D is connected using the direct SLR thread - and therefore I have no place for the LPR filter. So it it wedged in on the scope side of the focus assembly. As far as I can tell it is in flat...

Maybe I should just take it out and see what I get... going to go off and do that.

But any other suggestions gratefully received.

That is caused by internal reflections, light bouncing between the CCD and LP filter I get it with my Ha filter, you my still get some even with the filter flat though it will not look so bad when it is sermetrical with the stars
