Carrier advice for eyepiece

I've got to send an eyepiece to APM in Germany for repair. 

Anyone have a recommendation for who to use?

Obviously need decent insurance, and it's glass.

Shouldnt they arrange the collection of the EP?. I assume you bought it from them and through no fault of your own the EP has become faulty.

If not the case...........DHL or DPD would be my couriers of choice.

I've found that Royal Mail international package service is very good on price and scope of insurance cover.

I used parcel2go.com  to ship an ST80 etc from the UK to here. The only 'problem' was that they phoned me to ask for delivery many days before the ETA. Couldn't have been more pleased.

When I was looking for a courier a couple of months ago I couldn't find a single one who didn't exclude items containing glass from their insurance, including a specialist fragile items courier. Whoever you send it with, pack it well.
