First attempt at the trifid nebula

Due to unexpected clear skies in may I and my friends decided to hold a star party well this is my image of the trifid nebula M80 total of 60x30sec subs 10darks rjs 5 flats processed in dss and photoshop

Hi Varad,

That's a really good image, especially given the short time. The show a hint of trailing, but all in the same direction so there are tricks available in PS for instance to tidy that up should you so wish.

But excellent job!

Jessun the problem is we don't have a autoguider yet we r planning to get one in a month

Nice image. But the Trifid Nebula is known as M20, not as M80. M80 is a globular cluster in the constellation Scorpius.

Haha I was wondering why nobody said that yet. It was a auto correct error as M80 is saved on my keypad by not M20
