The thing that really impresses me about the Tak is the phenomenal contrast, very much like the Triplet Tmb Apo i had. I think alot of is due to the small 28% CO for an sct, and the very high quality optics. The only thing that would tempt me now would be something like a Tak TOA 150 Apo!The Zeiss Abbes are incredible and i dont regret selling all my eyepieces to buy them.

It is stunning on the moon, it is affected by seeing, but when things are fairly steady its like a big apo. Its also very easy to carry on and off the mount.

the dewshield is just a piece of art! its insulated with a factory dense foam lining and locks with 2 thubscrews, rock solid and very effective keeping off the dew. I hope to do some drawings of saturn when its placed well in the sky.
