Aussie Dave
The weather has not been kind to us here. At the beginning of the week with a break in the clouds I managed to get some shots in. Taken with the Nikon D3100 on a camera tripod, stock 18mm zoom lens. 30 shots at 20 seconds each 1600 ISO plus 20 shots at 20 seconds each 3200 ISO, put through RegiStar then finished in RawTherapee and PaintDotNet. The brightest object very top center is Mars with Saturn just below it to the left. At the end of the session I noticed some dew on the front of the UV filter. That combined with poor edge performance with the stock lens, noisy sensor and noticeable star trails with the 20 second exposures, this effort was a slight fail but still please with end result.
