Couldn't sleep as my home world was calling.

The image in the scope is the right way up and the wrong way round. The seeing was turbulent and at first there appeared to be nothing but a bland disc. After a short while though some albedo features began to reveal themselves.

Very good .All I could see was a red blob. No detail.

It looked pretty blobby to me at times too. I actually got up a little too late and found the planet had passed the meridian and out of my normal planetary sweet spot. From my site on most occasions, I get generally very good seeing from east to south but much passed the meridian  and my seeing gets boily. I'll have to get up earlier in future.
