11d old moon with pastels and 3" MiniDob

Dear all,

tonight, I tried a new technique for my lunar sketches. Instead of chalk- and charcoal pens, I went for soft pastels in some shades of grey. I bought them recently as a set and gave it a try on the moon. When coming from chalk and charcoal pens, one needs to get used to the pretty soft pastel blocks. But I enjoyed having more colors than just white and black available.

Hi all,

thanks for the feedback! :)

@happy-kat: Yes, indeed the pastels are softer than the chalk and charcoal. And you can add different layers of them on top of each other. That doesn't work for me with chalk and charcoal.

Clear skies!

Achim
