Comet Catalina and M101

I finally got around to combining the recent data of Comet Catalina and M101 from early last year, didn't quite make the mosaic overlap enough (had to cheat a bit) as on the night where they were closest to each other it was cloudy. So a bit further away from each other and hence and tighter crop in the frame than I would have liked. I can't quite decide if I like processing comets, they can be a real pain.

Comet image captured on 15th January 2015 and M101 early last year.

I really really like it! Apart from it being cool to have a galaxy and a comet in the same picture, I really like rich 'non black clipped' backdrop. Spot on if you ask me

I really like pictures like this. They're one-offs You're right, comets are tricky to process. Good when it goes right though, as in your pic.
