Sky 6 SW eq6 settings

Hi guys

I have downloaded sky 6 professional on my laptop the drop down mount menu does not contain SW eq6 pro mount does anybody know the setting's . I would also like to use eqmod with it also so I'm hoping someone can give me some tip's on connecting everything up.

The normal route with EQMod is load Ascom (input the mount info), install EQMod, install CdC or Stellarium Scope + Stellarium, as for Sky 6 Pro i don't know the software so it may run under Ascom or may not.....

Take a look at the EQMOD Project website, there is a FAQ covering the hoops you have jump through to get TheSky6 working with ASCOM. You may find stellarium and stellariumscope an easier option to get working.

That would be fine if Pete has TheSkyX - but  he's using TheSky6 which is a different kettle of fish (or can of worms).

All I can say is that The SkyX worked very well controlling EQMOD and my NEQ6. I had The Sky 6 but it proved not such a good interface so I went back to The SkyX, which worked every time. As has been said Ascom first.

Any way Chris's advice is the best to follow on that one.
