Stephen Aish
hi Ian,if you mean the reticle with side arm it has a double crosshair that lights up to ensure perfect goto alignment - looks like the light cycle grid from Tron Steve
Ant
A CLS filter for visual? Thats interesting... My experiences of the CLS filter (which are verygood BTW) is thate is cuts down on so much light that I had to DOUBLE the exposure times to get anything. Can't see that being much good for visual. BUt excellent for imaging.Ant
CELESCOPE
Think Stephen is getting things ready for imaging soon Ant Rog
Stephen Aish
the eventual move is to imaging - and yes the CLS makes stars harder to see unfortunately- i did a quick comparison with and without then boxed it Steve
Ant
There is no doubt that the filter is excellent. I had one once - it's blocks a lot of light, but all the light that does get through is GOOD light (if you know what I mean). But with my mount I couldn't exposure for long enough the get enough of the light. What confused me was the "Optimising for visual" and then buying a CLS filter.Don't mind me
Stephen Aish
that was the plan Ant,all im learning is that this is just more work at every corner - sure im not the first and wont be the last to be honest i would rather get a watec and look at a screen instead of squinting all night trying to find different white dots :? oh wellSteve
