How to get Longitude and latitude co-ordinates for synscan?

Recommended Posts

If you have an I-phone you can use the standard compass app that is pre-installed, LAT LONG is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Otherwise there are lots of I-phone and Android GPS location apps, I have tried several and they have all agreed on position, just go for the one you like the look of...

If you want a LAT LONG for your regular viewing site then Google Earth is very good, you can pin point down to within a few feet.

This is the site I use http://itouchmap.com/latlong.html This one give the coordinates in degrees and minutes whereas many other sites give the minutes values as a decimal, the Synscan handset requiring degrees and minutes ie 52 50N rather than 52.83N which the handset would reject.

That is perfect...Thanks...
