Some haze last night from here in "the smoke" [LVM~2.5] but fair results on some globulars in a short session - those in the west [Hercules] more troublesome.  Data on images - the Lodestar punches through most mucky skies!  All pix carefully centred and orientated.

in Hercules...

M13 [20s]

M92 [10s] core burns-out easily

NGC 6229 [60]

M71 [60s] in Sagitta

M56 [40] in Lyra

Enjoy

Great images, are the colours real?...

Would a spectrograph correlate with the colours seen in these images or would our eyes (if they were more sensitive) see these colours?

Of course they are !! :-) There are only three basic tints in star colour as recorded in the spectral classification OB (buish) AF (white) GKM (yellow - red). However in EAA/video with small OSC sensors the stars are under sampled and can fall on too few pixels to get a true colour rendition unlike AP where megapixel sensors are rescaled many fold in presentation. RGB filters on mono sensor gives truer colours.

If the stars are saturated (over-exposed) or sharpened (via camera settings or s/w) - they are rendered 'white' irrespective of their true spectral colour.

The is an additional factor when not using an IR block filter for max sensitivity in that cool/IR stars are recorded brighter than visually and with a blue/cyan bias. This I seen on my unfiltered images but I find fully acceptable once you appreciate what is recorded and I have no problem with that :-)
