$20 Case for Celestron Edge HD 9.25

I found this lightweight case online for $20.00.  Search Sterlite 1842 Footlocker.  

Dimensions:

31 1/4" L x 17 5/8" W x 13 7/8" H

79.4cm L x 44.8cm W x 35.2cm H

 

I could not believe it but it was like this company built the perfect case for my Celestron SCT.  The 9.25 fits so that means the 8 inch SCT will also.

 

I used the packing material that the telescope was shipped in.  There were 4 pieces of packing material in the original box.  I used the two smaller pieces and they slid right down into the trunk ... just like they were made for it!  I cut away some material here and there just to make the fit perfect.

 

I feel much better about loading the SCT in the car now!

Very cool find Tim. Thank you for posting such.

It always drops the price of various things us astronomy-nuts need if you look for x,y,and z without the "astronomy" associated to it. Retailers know that if someone is into astronomy, they can take a simple £1 product and add 'astro' into it's name and get away with charging £10 for it.

Good looking case , problem is that we would pay $100 plus for the same thing here in Australia , but I will look into one for my C9.25.
