A poor m27

This is my first proper attempt at DSO imaging with the new setup.

It is 31 x 90sec subs.

No darks bias or flats used as ran out of time and my guiding was playing up in PHD2 so got fed up.

I know the tracking is off but this was expected with my guiding issues.

I am just pleased to be back in the game.

Some thing's not quite right with this, there appears to be two images present. Each "image" looks pretty good on its own so if you can sort that out I am sure it will make a pretty fine image.

Take some darks (try to get camera to the same temperature) and it will help to eliminate those red pixels that are trailing about.

It looks like the images have not been registered i.e. aligned before being stacked. You might have a very nice image when you get the frames properly aligned. If you can afford the investment get a copy of CCDstack- it will work wonders for your image alignment & it is not really expensive for what it can do.

If you look at my M31 recent post that has 163 images aligned to create the L channel so it works really well.
