Eagle Nebula New Scope

Hey all,

     First DSO light with my new 8" reflector.  I did the best I could considering the moon light and not so ideal weather conditions.  This is 6 x 4 minute exposures with 5 darks and 15 flats, using a Nikon D3100.  I cropped the image to see how the pillars developed.  Im happy considering this is my second DSO, and first with a new scope, since I returned to imaging.  Now, its time for more practice.  Cheers everyone.

I'm wondering if your focus is slightly off. There is good detail in the pillars but the stars are quite large.

Either way it's a nice image!

Thanks xtreemchaos and pipnina.  Focus with the DSLR can be an issue at times for me.  Im hoping to have an actual full night of imaging so I can practice.  This summer has consisted of me rushing through sessions due to bad weather and poor light pollution (lately the moon).
