Well after a slightly dodgy start to the day the skies cleared with broken cloud and some decent size gaps.

First up the usual white lights taken with Evostar 120 / 1100D combo. 50 from 150 frames stacked in Registax 5.1.

Had some time to play with the new Revelation 0.5x reducer. I found that if I stack the filters I normally use between the QHY5 and the reducer I can get a full disk in one frame. By the time I got to try this the seeing had dropped off pretty badly so the image is nothing to shout about but proves the point and there is a longer term purpose to this......more on that later :hiding:

Then came another nice long break in the clouds so I broke out the PST. Took several avi's, 4 of which I used to make a mosaic

Still some work to do as there are some newton rings left despite the flats but think this is probably my best mosaic yet.

Nice work david.I also picked up some good white light shots of the sun today.Still trying to convince the other half that a PST or a LUNT is a must have tool

..She aint having none of it atm lol :(
