Sun from 2015-03-20 -- Eclipse Day

This is a quick play with Astra Image 3.0SI software (Free).

The original image was graded, cropped and aligned in PIPP and then processed in PS7 before doing deconvolution in AI 3.0.

I lost control of the limb a bit but it's all good practice.

Nice image. I do feel sharpening may have been pushed a bit too far.

Nicely done, but agree with Mike it is a little over sharpened.

In WL the Sun has an effect called limb darkening, so as soon as you start to see a bright ring on the edge (limb), back the sharpening down again until it disappears. It is a good way to know when to stop sharpening
