Fila-gone!

Hi Folks,

I just had a look on Gong to see how things are shaping up (well really, to see if the area around a little spot in white light is looking active in h-alpha).

What jumped out at me straight away though is that our huge mega prom / filaprom is not what it once was! It seems mostly to have gone!

I played the anim from El Teide and looks like there was a nice big lift off.  Hopefully some folks got lucky to see or image it!

PS sorry for typo in heading, it should be "Fila-gone!"

I was imaging it up until shortly before it lifted off but it clouded over at the crucial moment, blooming typical.

I missed a huuuuge lift off in November, Dave!

The pain does go away. Or rather, lessen. Eventually

I was fortunate to see the latter half of the lift off. Very impressive and stretched out much further than the field of the GONG instruments.
