I have got my head around the construction of web pages enough that I have finally put together a quick description of the contraption that I use to aim the DSLR at stuff.

I sure did! remember heinz Wolff? Great guy!

I also did an Open Uni. course which was similar, T235 engineering mechanics. On the Summer School we made spring powered dragsters and raced them, as well as lightweight crane jibs from balsa wood. The highest lift to weight ratio won. That was great fun. Oh and the boozing at night.
