Today's Big Sunspot Group

By a huge coincidence, yesterdays new big sunspots were accompanied by dense, even fog this morning, so feed the dog before it has apoplexy and out with the bridge camera. No stacking, these are just enhanced for dynamic range and colourised.

I must give a warning, only do this when the sun is low and teh fog is so thick the sun appears barely brighter than the moon. All handheld at 1/2500 iso400 2000mm equivalent.

Is there a knack to stacking this sort of image? Both Registax and Astrosakkert get them horribly wrong, I have 11 cropped images  like the middle one.

After battling with PIPP I finally got it to accept five out of 11 frames. Then after much sweat, realised that Registax needed to be told to rotate alignment...
