Fuzzy just W of Cassiopeia / Del Cas?

Was wandering about in Cassiopeia tonight and spotted something pale and fuzzy just to the left (as the telescope moves on AZ) of the 2nd star from the top of the W (Del Cas?) in 25mm Plossl - can only really see it in averted vision in 100p but sweeping the scope left and right shows something there. Cant find anything on the charts I have - any suggestions? No real shape, less than 10% of fov in a mini dob

Sounds like Comet Lovejoy. In the right place for that.

thought I was being a bit dim but googling a Lovejoy chart and its exactly right - supposed to be off to bed for an early start but might go have another look . . .

Found Lovejoy just now with my 15 x 70's as a faint blobby object.

I did look a few nights back but missed it due to a slight haze covering.

Does sound like lovejoy, great find.

You can add the solar objects to stellarium and add comet objects.
