I'm guessing you have great skies up there...should be a treat with an 8".

Hi. This is me with out new telescope. My daughter Meryl and I put it together.

It took us about an hour. We still have to check the collimation and set the view

finder to correct point of aim. Need to wait for a clear day. We're warming up

a bit so that usually means clouds. I can wait.

Pic is our new telescope. Yeah, its bigger than I thought. Of course the wife has to ask the price, so I told her. She did say its rather expensive ($449.00) but she was cool about it.

I don't know how to rotate the first photo. But it tells the story.

Doesn't the first picture set the scale but the second picture shrink it again. Fairly compact foot print though.

Our Celestron X-Cel LX 7mm eye piece and 2x barlow arrived. As well as the eye piece vid cam. We now have all the items that I initially ordered. Meryl, my younger daughter, and I are being patient. Still unable to view anything. Its sprinkling snow this week. It will pass and we'll get to trying it all out for the first time.
