Best video of the Triple Shadow Transit on Jupiter, 24th Jan

Here's my video of the triple shadow transit of Jupiter's moons. It's the best you will see anywhere on this forum,  but only if you define 'best' as 'the most wobbly.'  :embarrassed:

I've had a long week, and really needed a lie in but there was no way I was going to miss the triple, so got up at 4.30 this morning like a child on Christmas day and was so excited to see clear skies.   It took me quite some time to realise that the wobbly blob I was looking at through the scope was in fact Jupiter. Visually, I couldn't see a single shadow, on the screen, one was faintly visible.  I hoped that things might improve over the next hour and a half but seeing got worse, with pieces of Jupiter appearing to fly off from the main body.

I don't think I've ever come away from a session before without a single usable image, even as a record shot.

Ah well, roll on 2032 for the next chance. Hope you all had better luck, and look forward to seeing the results.

Thank all. Sorry for you Alan ,but it does help me on some level to know it was no better "South of Lincoln"!

I'm hoping I'll have better luck with the near earth asteroid on Tuesday morning, same time:
