Thanks guys.

It couldn't be easier - Camera set on the bedroom window sill (Window open!), pointed in the rough direction and take several shots of different lengths.

Moon and LP made it a 5 sec sub, 30 secs was white-out!

32 x 30 seconds, Canon 550d, 200mm f4 L series lens, HEQ5

Don't have a light pollution filter so 30 seconds was the maximum usable sub length.

Slight tail detail coming through.

Vignetting due to tight fitting campmat dewshield.

Nice pictures Kropster, Been out tonight with the Bins but not the best of views what with the waxing crescent moon, but still lovely to see it. I've been hoping to see it for sometime but what with the weather and work, not really seen it at its best  :embarassed:

Thanks Vince1963.

The tails seems very fickle. Previous attempts with my telescope didn't show the tail as well.

It could all be down to seeing conditions, I suppose.

I am glad I got a couple of goes at it..... decent skies seem rare at the moment!
