Saturn from 17.03.08

I haven't seen a star or planet since I got back from Aussie just over a week ago and then tonight at about 21:30 the sky cleared.

I setup and tried for Saturn but didn't expect much as, with the 2 barlows in, the image was very dim on the laptop screen. I'm very pleased with how this has turned out.

Excellent picture Tony. You've captured an enormous amount of detail, it just goes to show how much digital technology has helped the amateur astronomer when you look at the stacked compared to single frame. Keep up the good work.

That's a great looking image! I'd be very interested to know what happens when you stack only the 60 best frames instead of 600.

Thanks for the comments everyone. When the seeing is good, the Celestron Ultima x2 and the ImageMate x4 are cracking barlows.
