Yet another Saturn

blinky

Recommended Posts

This is the first time I have used my DSI for planetry imaging and I must say I am quite impressed  I focussed on Saturn and clicked to auto stack it, if the quality was above 80%. Left it for an hour and it had stacked over 900. The image below is the Light and Lum channels combined, bit of unsharp mask applied to the Lum channel and a tiny bit of stretching.

What D'ya think?

That is a smart little image that includes visible crepe ring by the looks of it.

A five minute job in photoshop will add a bit more depth. Just make a new layer of Saturn and apply Auto colour to it then reduce the opacity value till your happy with the result and merge the two. Sharpen and blur to taste.

Cheers
