Before I posted I did look on Sat24 and it looked like our chums in NE Scotland and W. Ireland might have a chance at it !

Well that's just typical isn't it.

Tomorrow the skies will know doubt be as clear as a bell, with know aurora visible.

Cloudy or can't see it? If not cloudy could take a photo anyway someone got caught out as the camera picked up what they hadn't seen but only took camera phone image.
