Hi john thanks for sharing your modification ideas. I have just purchased some handles for my 300p. They work a treat; they have made the scope a very easy thing to handle. I don’t know why they are not fitted as standard.

Just fitted my handles today after nipping over to B&Q for an 8mm drill and I agree - it makes the tube so much easier to handle. They really should be fitted as standard but as they're not I consider this an essential modification.

I got mine from the same place as John - WDS in Pudsey, Leeds. £60 for the pair but well worth it. I was passing Leeds yesterday in my truck on the way back from Lincolnshire so I took a minor detour off the M62
