Tums
It looks like the Sun, but as it hasn't been seen around here for ages, I'm not sure.

Davey-T
Skies that look black to your eyes can show a surprising amount of light in long exposures, is it orange street lights ?, they can show up even if not really visible to the eye, if it is you can get a LP filter.Dave
glappkaeft
There are also a near infinite number of tools that can do colour correction/balancing.
Knight of Clear Skies
Looks like classic orange sodium light pollution. An LP filter may help but will also block some of the starlight - less of a problem from a tracking mount perhaps, but from a fixed tripod you can't up the exposure time without introducing more trailling. It might be possible to adjust the colour balance in post processing so it doesn't stand out so much.
Tums
The last pic looks like the monument is artificially lit up. Spotlight?? But filters may be the answer,as suggested above. I haven't had my DSLR Long, but bought these filtershttp://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007OXDXZ0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Maybe something like this would help. uhb1966
Well, my noob solution is what those gents already said... either a bit more blue+green channel, less red in the post-processing..or a light pollution filter...
