Hi Scott, where is this? Do you use the North Staffs Astro site or somewhere a bit further out? Have been thinking about getting the scope out to Tittesworth or Roach End for a while so curious if you know anywhere better...

Bala's a great spot for a nights observing. well you need to go a little bit past the lake to get to the good spots but theres plenty around there nice and high aswell

scott how far do you have to travel to get to a half decent site?

Bala's around 1hr 15min although for imaging, I can get away with my garden (after careful screening of madam nxt doors kitchen window ). Saturday evening looks reasonable this week-end but there's a stonking great moon about.
