Sky Safari Pro and ios8 - Lost search option.

Hello.  Poor decision made .  Downloaded ios 8 over the weekend to my phone.  The search option in Sky Safari Pro seems to have fallen off the APP. 

Not a total loss but a bit frustrating.   Hey ho.  If it aint broke don't fix it.  When will I learn

Update to Sky Safari has just been released. Search seems to be working fine with iOS 8

Just actioned the update. Got search option back. Just need a test run I guess

Yep - contacted Bill of SouthernStars via the Yahoo support group.  They actually had the update fast tracked, as there was a screw up with Apple's changed submissions process.  He's definitely on the ball with it all... 

There's still an issue with SkyWeek that came to light after the 4.1 submission apparently, so version 4.2 is being submitted today...

Nice to have the search back, it was mildly annoying last night. Although iOS 8 seems to have messed up my iPads temperature sensor too, it told me that I had to wait for my iPad to cool down before I could use it, yet it was sub zero at the time. Maybe it doesn't know the difference between hot and cold.
