Fixed the background noise....

Dropped an unstretched image in as a new layer, set blend mode to 'lighten' and played with the midpoint slider....seems a bit better now

I stumbled on the way of dealing with the background noise, I was stumped and shooting in the dark (excuse the pun!) really but it seems to work well...neat image / gaussian blurring etc didn't really do what was required....another processing trick for our collective arsenal
