A region rich in Domes!

I believe this is one of the lunar regions where the largest number of Domes per km ² can be found. In this photo just stated some more easily visible, but the total Domes in this area should easily get home to find the hundred and some just look more calmly. 

Dome (Dome / Dome) - Formation volcanic usually not very high with one or more holes in the top, but they are not always present. Generally are located near edges of Mary. The best place to try and find these domes near the terminator zone and when the sun is low in the lunar horizon. Instruments of larger diameters are recommended for your observation. 

When the time-scale volcanism decreased, smaller volcanic vents give rise to a variety of different formations or low hills and 

round called "domes" typically has a few hundred feet tall and a base of several kilometers; they are remnants of ancient lunar volcanoes, and tiny craterletas their apexes represent volcanic vents. Some of these domes may have been built by the accumulation of lava, (while cooled) that burst and flowed through some opening. 

West of Copernicus location of the best volcanic domes of the Moon A group of six of them can be found are located 

north of the crater Hortensius (circle in the picture) and another group of 12 domes around the north of the crater Milichius. 

Intermittent eruptions of volcanic ash and pyroclastic deposits of materials produced steep volcanic cones. The lava of low viscosity, secured by very narrow volcanic vents, can produce fire sources, and successive explosive eruptions are capable of building fully volcanic cones 

steep.

Really Pete Presland!

The IR Pass filters perform very well in lunar photography however observe the opening of the telescope to be used with the filter. I believe that for a 80mm ED is infeasible due to extensive loss of light. You C9, 25 should go well however be sure to also consider the Baader IR Pass 685 which is a great filter and can be used on Mars with an excellent result.
