My first ever attempt to image M51 (which I can't even see visually in my scope and LP! :D)

SkyWatcher 120mm f/8.3 achro, EQ-5, Canon 350D, 1x30s, 8x60s, 8x75s @ ISO-1600. Stacked in DSS and tweaked in PS CS 3.

Takes me back a bit Trev. My first foray into this astro stuff was polluted by the fact that the goto was taking me to stuff that wasn't there. After the "road to Damascus" episode that was me slotting the Nikon into the focuser I was transformed into an imager. Looks like all you need is the T shirt. The image is magnificent showing what can be done with your kit. Keep at it and you'll be amazed, as I was, at what you can snap pictures of.

Thanks for the kind words, guys! :D

I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, especially since the session was cut short by the camera battery dying and so I had less subs than I planned, and no darks.... Typical! :D
